In this talk, we illustrate how the City of Lugano made digital tokens relevant without resorting to complicated language. Thanks to the MyLugano app, citizens can access modern services and transactions without diving into technical details. Additionally, we will explore the technical setup that made this transformation possible, including how AI played a role in optimizing user experiences and supporting infrastructure needs. We will delve into architectural choices, the token setup that allows specific shopping experiences in the city, and how scalability and security challenges were addressed. This keynote will highlight the importance of a solid and user-friendly infrastructure, demonstrating how technology can become invisible yet essential in daily life, enhancing the community's interaction with digital innovation.
